Why our vertical binder comes in two parts
Resin Rock Vertical Binder is a two-component polyurethane. Part A and Part B are measured, mixed, and only then does the resin begin to cure. That single design choice is what lets a stone finish hold its shape on a wall instead of a floor.
Part A — the resin
The body of the system. It wets out and coats every piece of aggregate so each stone is fully encapsulated rather than surface-glued.
Part B — the hardener
The trigger. Once it meets Part A the two cross-link into a single continuous film with the strength and flex a vertical face needs.
The cure is in the mix — not in the weather
A two-part binder cures because of the reaction between the two components. You control it, because you controlled the ratio. Single-component binders take their cue from the conditions around them instead, which means the same product can behave differently on a humid morning than it does on a dry afternoon.
On a wall that difference matters more than it does on a driveway. Vertical work gives you no margin for a slow or uneven set — gravity is working against you the whole time. A measured two-part mix gives you the same working window and the same finish on every batch, every job, whatever the forecast says.
