The realistic answer on lifespan is fifteen years or more, and the realistic answer on maintenance is that it needs less attention than the concrete it replaced. There is no sealing schedule, no re-sanding of joints and no annual staining. What it does need is to stay clear of debris so water keeps draining through.

A rinse or a soft wash deals with it. Do not go at it with a turbo nozzle at close range, and your installer will tell you what cleaner is safe.
Our driveway runs down a wooded slope. Can it be laid on a grade?
Yes, and slopes are common on Wisconsin lots. A hand troweled surface follows a grade cleanly, including curves and changes of level that would need forming in concrete.
